Planning Your Wedding at Second Baptist Church
Our pastor, Dr. Stephen D. Jones, welcomes you to consider your wedding at Second Baptist Church. You do not need to be a member of the congregation. Dr. Jones requires three premarital counseling and preparation sessions and asks couples to attend three Sunday worship services of the congregation during the period of preparation. The church’s pastor must officiate at your wedding at Second Baptist Church.
Weddings can take place in the church’s Sanctuary of the Beatitudes, which seats 240 people with a long central aisle and a beautiful Odell pipe organ. The contemporary sanctuary is air-conditioned. Weather permitting, weddings can also occur in the church’s secluded rose garden. Ample free parking is available on the church’s six-acre site.
Fees are charged for nonmembers to rent the church and provide honorariums to church staff working on the wedding.
